Treasure Boxes
I've been painting some treasure boxes the last couple days and here's one I call Indian Sun. I have a show coming up and I thought I'd offer some new things for Christmas. Although at the rate I'm creating these, I might not have many to offer!
Then I felt it needed more embellishment, so I started playing around with some bling...
Ehhhh... not big enough and not quite right.
But this... this I like. And so it is.
I have another box that is ready to show you, but I need to take some final pictures to show it off. I will tell you it's a pretty and shiny snake head! If these don't sell at the show, I'll be adding them to my Etsy and Artfire shops.
Thanks to all you guys... my friends, fellow artists, creative minds, and incredibly talented bloggers. You are wrapped up in one as the people who always bring encouragement and love with your comments. I love you guys! Our "little" online world... it is fantastic!

I love it that you are wanting to comment but please know that I have moved my current blog (this is the old host). You can now find me at www.jaimehaney.com/blog and leave a comment there. This very same post is on there, as I have picked up the whole kit and kaboodle and moved it. I hope to see you! Please come by and say howdy!

love your treasure boxes, and the last is the perfect topper for them!!
ReplyDeleteA little treasure box is hard to resist! Good luck on your upcoming show. Boxes are the perfect gift and even better if you stuff it with Hershey's Kisses! I am finally becoming a more active blogger (plan to add a new post this evening). My Etsy sites have suffered, but they are blossoming again as well. It feels so good to make time for creativity! Just became a "Twitter" person, but not sure I'm going to be good at it. Hard to contain myself to 140 characters! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh Jaime--you know that I love these! They become very addictive to make--you'll keep getting more ideas. Good luck at your show!
ReplyDeleteAnd Boxes too!!!
ReplyDeleteI really LOVE boxes!
And metallic paint...I am sure these will sell.
Imagine receiving a piece of jewelry wrapped in a box like that...no wrapping needed...perfect for men.
You can surely point that out to a man who doesn't know what to do...sometimes they just need a nudge.

These are gorgeous- I love the way you embellished the boxes with your painting and then embellished your painting with sparkly beauties- very nice combination. I agree, these should sell very well!
