Paint Party Week 25

Paint Party Friday has arrived again. Today I have another work in progress called "Forest Floor" done with metallics and a couple pics of the now finished and framed "Water for Elephant".  See the post for Water for Elephant here.

I was so inspired by one of the paint players last week that I had to go outside and pick up some leaves and create a painting with some natural stamps. I learned as I created and thoroughly enjoyed the process. I have lots more to do to this painting, it really started out as just playing but now I have more of a vision for the piece and will share it as soon as I finish it.

Thanks for looking :) check out all the Paint Players for inspiration and fantastic eye candy!

  10. I love how you've been creating using "natural stamps"... fantastic!

Water for Elephant looks great - the contrast of the white mat and black frame against the vibrant colors of your painting really finishes it off beautifully :)

  17. Gorgeous forest floor- I'm doing something similar next week with my students- I hopes theirs come out half as nice as yours! And your elephant looks even better framed- where did you hang it? If it were mine, I'd put it somewhere that I could admire each day :)

  18. Water for Elephant is so gorgeous. I'm glad you shared the title because it made me look more closely. It's wonderfully abstract, and only when I went looking did I see the elephant. I love work that brings you back to look again and again. Lovely leaf prints. Using the fern is truly inspired! I painted with leaves for PPF on vacation a few weeks ago - I hope I was part of your inspiration.
