Star for top of Christmas Tree |
apparently it needed more glitter |
Tada! |
We made more ornaments today and used yet even more glitter and put up the ornaments that had dried from last night. They won't win any contests but we had fun and the memories will last a lifetime, but the ornaments may not last the season with the kittens. I'll just have to take more pictures.
I thought no better the day to start this back up again. It may be sporadic, but oh well, it's here today :)
"This Artists Observations of the Day"
Feeling of the day: relieved (I don't have to get out in the cold!)
I'm grateful for: glitter glue
I am wearing: purple and blue
I thought about today: things I can do once the holidays are over (sheepish grin)
I miss: carefree living
Best thing I did today: Put up ornaments on Christmas tree that we made together
Today I visited: ArtsyShark - Own your identity as an artist
Oh he is so cute. I know what you mean about it starts out fun but ends up on the naughty chair. Little boys are so silly! I love the ornaments he made. He is just adorable.
ReplyDeleteWell, it looks like you had a great time! Too bad those smiles ended up in frowns. LOL And maybe you can keep these ornaments toward the top of the tree - or hang them from the ceiling? :) Theresa
ReplyDeleteI read your last post and I have to admit it made me chuckle, not that you were having a miserable time but because I could completely relate!
ReplyDeleteMaking your ornaments is a great idea, you won't have to worry about Asher, or the kittens breaking any precious ornaments and you can take pictures of your lovely homemade tree that will be treasured.
I love the photos of the creative mess, it looks like fun (minus the ending of course).
And those ornaments will be among the ones you cherish the most! I finally finished decorating my house and will be posting as soon as I gets the kids off to school. You've inspired me to include *my* tree topper, a self portrait angel that my Emmie (today is her 15th b-day, btw:)) made when she was three....it is my favorite thing on my tree!
ReplyDeleteYay for glitter glue!! What a lovely way to make some new decorations (and memories!) for Christmas :) hope you get some time to wind down soon :) xx
ReplyDeleteSmiles :)
ReplyDeleteLet's add this to your list: FAST-DRYING glitter glue.
ReplyDeleteI helped 30 kids make Christmas cards for their little friend in India. All those cards someone set upright with glitter glue on them...drips all the way off the card...what a mess!
